Chi Hack Night is excited to be partnering with Hacks/Hackers for Media Party Chicago 2023! Join us as attendees and participants along with journalists, designers, entrepreneurs, and tech experts, sparking innovative dialogues on artificial intelligence, democracy, and the future of media!

The event will be held on June 8, 9 and 10 at the Polsky Exchange Center in Hyde Park at 1452 E 53rd St in Chicago.

What is Media Party? It is a three day, hands-on exploration of cutting-edge trends and practices in journalism and media innovation.

Media Party will feature more than 80 speakers, trainers, and developers from around the world, including Miranda Marcus, head of the BBC News Lab; Nima Boscarino, ethical developer at Hugging Face, the leading open-source AI platform; Jennifer Brandel, CEO at Hearken; Rishad Patel from Splice Media; and Aime Rinehart from Associated Press.

Beyond traditional panels and keynotes, the three-day conference emphasizes collaboration and innovation. Day one commences with international keynote speakers, a media fair showcasing groundbreaking projects, and tailored workshops for attendees across content, tech, and business backgrounds. The day concludes with engaging lightning talks, focusing on innovative problem-solving strategies within the media landscape.

Day two provides further opportunities to learn from global industry leaders through insightful talks and workshops, while simultaneously developing ideas for the hackathon. On the final day, attendees participate in this hands-on hackathon, fostering active collaboration on transformative projects.
