#19 Data Potluck #2

Joint meeting with Data Potluck’s July meeting.

Tom Schenk Jr will give a presentation on a data visualization case study using Circos and D3’s Chord diagram. Tom will introduce a particular type of graph and compare/contrast it in the two programming languages. Here is an examples of the data visualization he’ll discuss: This was created using the Circos library (a Perl-based program).

Nick Mader will talk about building data stores and large publicly available local and national data sets and give us an overview of what we hope to build up with DataPantry. We’ll have an open discussion on which datasets to prepare for our DataPantry
