#462 The Master of Science in Civic Analytics: Progress and Initiatives

The Master of Science in Civic Analytics (MSCA) at the University of Illinois Chicago prepares students for operational data roles in public organizations. Informed by the principles of public policy and administration, the MSCA presents a new framework for studying public interest technology. Now in its second year, the program has expanded opportunitiesto explore the analysis and application of public data . Dr. Stephen Kleinschmit, MSCA Director, joins us to discuss the program’s evolution. The presentation will also discuss recent changes to the program’s curriculum, student placements, then conclude by reviewing new education and research initiatives at the university.
