Thanks to the Biden Administration’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, Illinois is on the cusp of receiving more than $1 billion to connect every household to broadband and build capacity among local organizations to help residents get online. Devon Braunstein, Director of the Illinois Office of Broadband, will join Chi Hack Night on August 27th to discuss how Illinois prepares for this historic moment, practices equity-in-process, and navigates complex policy questions around what it means to be “served” by broadband internet.
