In-person and Online: FOIA 101 from Muckrock #696

FOIA 101: Interested in getting your hands on raw data, but not sure where to start? Need documents or other information from a government agency, but not sure how to ask? MuckRock has worked with journalists, researchers, and ordinary people around the country to request public records from all 50 states and the federal government. During this presentation, they’ll share the FOIA and public records basics, including ways to browse through millions of records other people have gotten, and how to go from an idea to a solid request that gets results.

This event will be in person, but you can also tune in via livestream. Doors open at 6pm. The livestream and announcements will start around 6:30pm CDT.
